A commission done over October for someone of one of her drow characters, the name being Mursa. My chosen title is pure emo so just disregard that. ^_^
Normally I don't paint with really dark colours so this was a challenge to get looking right. I'm fairly happy with how that turned out, however perhaps the colours could be a bit more varied. Also, the mirror is a bit of a shortcut in terms of reflection, but I felt it'd distract too much from the piece anyways.
Done in Painter 9, can't recall how many hours it took. >_> I think 'lots' counts as a rough estimate though.
Been busy lately, I'll have lots to upload soon. ^^

Absolutely lovely, except the left leg looks a bit too thick coming down from the outfit to the ankle but it's still a gorgeous piece.

Love the POV and those legs are hawwwwwt! I kinda agree with your assessment of the limited palette; a little complimentary color might go a long way. What brushes do you use, Jake? I've hit Liiga up for her stash; Painter is giving me no end of grief; my learning curve is turning into a learning lifetime with that derned program.
Anyway, lovely piece, nice to see you experimenting. Only problem is the dress looks like it has a little less detail compared to the rest of the picture, but it's not too noticeable.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

I also enjoy so much the colors - no critique from me for this
