This year's poster image for the Labyrinth of Jareth Fantasy Masquerade. This was actually finished back in September of '09, but I couldn't post it until now.

This year had a specific theme dealing with night and so on, so the natural progression of that idea led to a girl in a frilly dress with a lamp. There's a few hints of time/clock related thingies... a free nonexistant cookie to those who point them out.

It's a bit static, but I think it turned out good in the end. The shadows were quite a lot of work. And purple is a colour that I have issues with I think...

Detail shots are here Done in Painter 9 as usual; I cannot recall how long it actually took to complete though.
