PE Round 30 for Rillystar by OchreJelly PE Round 30 for Rillystar by OchreJelly
For . I was so worried I was going to not finish this by the deadline, but well, all-weekend drawing sessions are a good thing! :D It took a while to finally get back on track with this drawing, but I finally got it done, and I'm happy enough with the result. I've never done a true night-time scene before, and it was difficult, but practice makes perfect. Hopefully.

Anyway, This is Rilly's chracter Triana Kyrlindina (and of course, I had to throw JAR in there too!) She likes to wear green and cream, but it's hard to tell due to the night-time colours, but hopefully it can be noticed. And I took liberties with her outfit...hopefully that's okay too. The whole thing was originally meant to be more of a drawing, but it ended up more paint-like.

AND, cookie jars don't look like that, but hey, most of them don't float and (presumably) talk in real life, so, I hope you can forgive me for it. XD

Not sure if you're looking for critique... but the only problem I see with this pic, as a flutist, is that she is holding the flute (flute-like instrument?) at the wrong angle. Very beautiful pic though. :)

I'm sure it's totally wrong in all sorts of ways. :)

That said, this image is ancient (almost 8 years old) but I'll keep it in mind, and find some good references when I draw one again. :D

I want to hear what she's playing. It seems peaceful and melodic. She looks confident in her musical talent.

The hair and figure look great. The water and cloth could be improved, but already look great.

There is slightly too much of a dip in her upper right leg going to her waist--it doesn't look right. Perhaps that's partly the cloth issue. Perhaps she is a little too thin (hungry) but she's not human, so who knows?

I love it. Thanks so much.

Thank you for the comment. I appreciate the critique, but feel the need to point out that the picture is about 2 1/2 years old and I think that my style and methods are very different nowadays. Don't get me wrong, not trying to sound picky, I'm just saying it's an old pic. XD I think it's safe to say I won't be adjusting it any time soon. =p

Again, thanks for the kind words. ^^
