She wanted a pickle in an aviator cap, so naturally I took it to the next level, broke down the doors of said level, and began trashing the offices and so on.
Also, I realize that his guns could not be automatic given the apparent time period. But to that I say...
Well, there should have been some semi-automatic guns, at least... At the end of WW1, many of those planes came with synchronized machine guns attached on the hood.

Great pic, a really epic scene...
But if I start raising realism issues like that eventually the fact there's a pickle standing on the hood on a biplane might come up. So meh!
But as you wondered... I tried to find some info about the history of the development of handguns, but couldn't find any.
